I am curious what steps people are taking so that they use less plastic. I hope if people post some of their tricks and ideas some of them will come in handy for the rest of us.
I am also curious about how to weigh the costs of various plastics and packagings. So far I have only managed to take baby steps on the avoiding plastics plan. Plastic seems to be everywhere.
I now use paper bags for purchasing my vegetables (and then use the bags for garbage or recycle them.
I have been storing my cheese in many use plastic containers rather than plastic wrap.
I still get some of the single use plastic bags from grocery stores but for the most part I use those to deal with kitty litter. |

I am honestly not sure if it is common, but the two stores with the freshest local and regional veggies do offer the brown bags. |
